Easter Family Home Evening

"Family home evening is a special time set aside each week that brings family members together and strengthens their love for each other, helps them draw closer to Heavenly Father, and encourages them to live righteously" (lds.org)

I love family home evening but I struggle to find lessons that are fun and interesting to an almost three year old. I'm going to try to post any successful FHE's we have in the hopes that it will give others in the same boat some ideas! We did an Easter themed lesson this week that Mia loved.

I made these eggs from Raising Busy Chickadees. I gave Mia her Easter basket, had her collect the eggs that were hidden and then she opened them and matched them to the card. She thought that was so fun! I wasn't sure if she would be interested in the message or the cards when there were eggs to hunt down but she wanted to know what each card meant before she went to find the next egg.  She even asked me to hide them again today!
